In this video we show a live training session with the patented Pitch Recognition System. As we stated in the previous video, the major difference between our vision training and other vision training is that we are able to limit how much of the pitch the hitter is able to see. We are able to accomplish this by the use of auto darkening lenses (or blackout lenses) coupled to a motion sensor. Additionally, we have installed an adjustable delay that gives us the ability to black out the lens anywhere between the pitcher’s release and the catcher’s mitt.
When viewing this video, please note the following features of the Pitch Recognition System:
- The system is extremely portable. The entire system fits inside of an 18” x 13” briefcase and weighs approximately 13 lbs.
- The system is powered by a 12 V rechargeable battery (charger included) so no looking for a power outlet.
- Typical battery life before a charge is needed is approximately 12 -15 hours of continuous use (so after 4 – 6 training sessions)
- The system can be used indoor or outdoor
- The system can be set up and ready for use in under 5 minutes.
In the video you see that the hitter is always behind a safety screen. This is imperative for the safety of the hitter as when the lens blacks out, the hitter will be totally defenseless. Under no circumstances shall a hitter train without a safety screen.
